Management Clinic

A new feature of the '63 MCAA Convention was the Wednesday morning Management Clinic. Dee Brown handled the first session on "Financing for the Mason Contractor" while E. J. DiSabatino moderated the "Closed Door Panel."

Ernest J. DiSabatino, Wilmington, Del, moderated the important "Closed Deer Panel" on Wednesday morning. From Construction Bidding Practice Codes through Apprenticeship programs and Jurisdictional disputes all questions were capably handled by the expert panel members.

Dee Brown, Dallas, Texas, presented in the first session of the Management Clinic an informative review of "Financing for the Mason Contractor". This meeting was one of the highlights of the entire convention and one of the most profitable for the delegates.

Assisting on the "Closed Door Panel" were: William F. Nelson, Washington, D. C. Fred Daues, St. Louis, (at the podium): Michael Coco, Pittsburgh: Herschel Hunt, Indianapolis, and Joseph Holme, New York City. This proved to be the most popular session of the convention.

Dee Brown's presentation delegates were supplied various balance sheets, projected profit and loss statements, overhead schedules, and job information sheets which kept them on their toes throughout the session. This graphic presentation was the most interesting of all presented.

The Management Clinic proved to be such a valuable addition to the Convention program that for the '64 meeting in Chicago a greater number of these sessions will be added. If you have a particular subject which you feel should be considered, write to the MCAA Office stating your request.
