KEEP THEM OFF THE JOB
I hear a lot about off-the-job safety and it's only right there should be a lot of attention paid to this phase. While workmen are engaged in their leisure hours, what about the unattended construction project that may attract the children of the neighborhood? It's almost as hard to predict what kids will do when they come on the job to play as it is to predict what men will do in their off-the-job hours. But it is reasonable to assume that these unpredictable actions can result in accidental injury or even death.
It's important that we give just as much attention to this sort of accident-producing situations as we do to the other. In the case of kids trespassing on the jobs, we must recognize several well-known facts. Most children do not even know the meaning of the word "trespassing," and therefore, they can not be expected to understand the dangers.
