Labor Dept. Summary

The U. S. Department of Labor has announced the publication of a summary of its operations under the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act (LMRDA) during Fiscal Year 1969.

The publication, the tenth in a series of yearly summaries on the Act's administration, contains an account of civil and criminal actions instituted under the Act. The publication also reviews major administrative and enforcement developments during the first ten years of the Act's operations. In addition, the summary includes a report showing the fidelity experience totals of surety companies in their first three years of reporting to the Department on their bonding experience under the LMRDA and the Welfare and Pension Plans Disclosure Act.

The 101-page publication, entitled Compliance, Enforcement and Reporting in 1969 Under the Labor-Management Reporting and Disclosure Act, is available at $1 per copy from the Superintendent of Documents, U. S. Government Printing Office, Washington, D. C. 20402.

NADD Report

Only by close liaison, cooperation and an exchange of information can we prevent an overlapping of programs a repetition of efforts that can waste precious time.

And this will be one of the major purposes of this column. In subsequent columns, "NADD Notes" will describe the association's current activities; its plans for future programs, and its aspirations for helping to create unity of purpose within the clay products and masonry factions of the building industry. It includes many associations that compose the masonry segments of the building industry.
