Concrete Institute Elects
Garth Miller President
The Ontario Chapter of the American Concrete Institute has elected Garth Miller president for the current term. Miller is promotion director of the Ontario Masonry Contractors Association.
A graduate architect, Miller is a past president of Construction Specifications Canada. He joined the ACI Ontario Chapter in 1969 and subsequently served on its board of directors and as vice president, before assuming his present post.
Distributors Predict
Business Gains in '84
Construction equipment distributors are gearing up to serve customer needs in an expanding market during 1984, according to their responses to the Associated Equipment Distributors' business outlook survey.
Some 300 U.S. and Canadian distributor-members of the trade association participated in the 1984 outlook survey conducted in November, 1983.
They expect median gross sales to jump 12% during 1984, building upon a median 7% increase during 1983. Optimism for the new year holds true all across the U.S. and Canada.
