Smith honored with AGC Keystone Award

Words: Mason BanksJohn J. Smith Masonry Company was recently awarded a First Place Specialty Contractor Award at the AGC-St. Louis Keystone Awards ceremony.

The Keystone Awards program honors the achievements of St. Louis construction firms and their employees in building the facilities that support and enhance the quality of life in Greater St. Louis. A Keystone Award recipient exhibits excellence in providing solutions to unique obstacles and challenges specific to their project. Smith won the award for the Nike Factory Store in The Meadows at Lake St. Louis.

"It's really exciting for our association to have the opportunity to highlight some of the tremendous projects completed by our members while at the same time honoring our specialty contractors for their contributions to the success of any project," said Leonard Toenjes, President of the AGC. "More than ever in today's competitive and challenging construction environment, collaboration is the key to making a successful project happen."
