New Office Facilities
A new high in customer relations has been established with the completion of the Light Weight Aggregate Corporation's office facilities at 27611 Schoolcraft, Livonia, Mich. Products of all the firm's customers were used in the construction of the office quarters which house the Belsite, Zell Products and Duo-Wire Divisions of Light Weight Aggregate.
"We were determined to use the products of all our customers in the construction of our new building," said Mel Cruzen, executive vice president and general manager of the firm, whose divisions manufacture light weight aggregate, sound insulating floor fill and masonry wall reinforcement, "and, as a result, our offices include light weight concrete blocks from some 50 different concrete block plants, as well as the products of another 20 different concrete suppliers."
At the direction of Cruzen, Samuel Redstone, A.I.A., of Louis G. Redstone Architects, Inc., specified common block and brick alone to be used as finished materials.
Howarth Appointed
Robert H. Howarth has been named sales manager for Morgen Manufacturing Co., Yankton, S. Dak., manufacturers of Morgen conveyors and adjustable scaffolding. He will supervise seven district managers in the United States and Canada.
Howarth was formerly branch manager of the Akron branch of Ernest F. Donley's Sons, Inc., Cleveland and Akron, Ohio. Earlier he was with the Skil Corporation, Chicago.
Howarth, his wife and four children have moved from Aurora, Ohio, to Yankton, S. Dak.
