Portable Radiant Heater
A new high-BTU portable heater is announced by Detroit Radiant Products Company, pioneer developer of gas infra-red radiant heaters. The A 10 is the third model in the Re-Verber-Ray portable line designed for exposed areas or inside where temporary heat is needed for comfort, materials drying, curing or protection.

The Model A 10 portable unit is rated at 30,000 BTU, operating at a face temperature of 1650 to 1700° F. Burner design and rated output are identical with the Model A 10-1 permanent installation unit. Hood design and air intake system are modified for efficient operation outdoors. It is useful in the field to prevent freeze-ups of heavy equipment and to reduce warm-up time for getting big rigs operational.

Because Re-Verber-Ray units transmit energy by infra-red rays, in the same manner that the sun heats objects upon which it shines, Re-Verber-Ray portables are expected to eliminate old-fashioned fuel-wasting salamanders. Not only do Re-Verber-Ray portable provide greater comfort with less work interruption, but the manner in which heat is generated in the objects upon which the rays impinge makes it an efficient tool for curing plaster, cement and other building materials when poor humidity and temperature conditions prevail.

A 20-lb. bottle of propane gas will operate the A 10 portable at maximum capacity for 17 hours. It is shrouded for protection from drafts and equipped with a 100% shutoff safety device. With no moving parts and corrosion-resistant materials throughout, maintenance of Re-Verber-Ray gas infra-red radiant heaters is limited to periodic cleaning of the ceramic face.

For information on all models of Re Verber-Red radiant heaters, write: Detroit Radiant Products Company, 1297 Terminal Avenue, Detroit, Michigan 48214.

Concrete Forming Panels
National Fiberclad, Inc., has introduced a fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP) surface-fused to exterior grade plywood which provides a more economical and lower maintenance concrete-forming panel. The FRP panels are easier to strip and clean up, and provide a considerably longer service life than regular plywood. A significant advantage of Fiberclad FRP Form panels is that the resulting concrete is also smoother and whiter in appearance.

Fiberclad panels are available FRP-faced on one or both sides of 4' x 8' plywood sheets in thicknesses from 4" through 34". Panels can be cut, nailed and drilled at the job site with ordinary tools. Textured designs specified by the architect can be incorporated into the FRP surface.

Send for a copy of Bulletin FRP-2, covering advantages, specification and care of Fiberclad panels, to National Fiberclad, Inc., 6592 Hamilton Avenue, Pittsburgh, Pa. 15206.

New Climbing Brackets
The new Climbing Brackets introduced by Waco Scaffold and Shoring Company, Schiller Park, Illinois, are said to increase job production by 15 to 20%. Convenient labor-saving working areas are provided for the mason, plus a material supply platform that eliminates bending and lifting. Work platforms can now be made any length, and workmen can work at any height desired.

Of durable, all steel construction, each bracket has its own locking device, and can be snapped on leg at any position without disassembly. Zinc plated for longer wear.

For more information please contact Mr. F. X. Mangan, Waco Scaffold & Shoring Company. P. O. Box 66415, O'Hare Airport, Illinois 60666.

Concrete/Asphalt Saws
A new line of economy priced Concrete/Asphalt Saws which offers the user a 122 HP Auto/Matic Self-Propelled Saw has been developed by the Robert G. Evans Company of Kansas City, Missouri, manufacturers of TARGET Masonry, Concrete, and Metal Cutting Saws and Blades.

The new TARGET ECONO-LINE series include Manual or Auto/Matic Self Propelled Models with choice of 18½ Wisconsin THD Engine, 12 S-12D, or in manual Model with 9 HP AENLD Engine. All are designed around the TARGET engineered "balanced design" concept, which places the engine weight over the blade to assure a constant cutting depth and "tip and turn" maneuverability. Additional features include Lock-Type Positive Screw Feed for raising and lowering of the blade, Heavy duty blade shaft and bearings, wide open frame for easy maintenance, and hinged blade guard for curb and wall cutting.

Maximum cutting depth is 45% with 14" blades with blade guard options to cut up to 65% deep in concrete and asphalt.

TARGET ECONO-LINE saws have been specially developed for economical production cutting on a wide range of construction and industrial jobs such as joint sawing, trenching, maintenance, floor and street repair.

Additional details can be obtained from TARGET Dealers, or by writing directly to the manufacturer, Robert G. Evans Company (TARGET), 1000 W. 25th St., Kansas City, Missouri 64108.
