REGIONAL VICE PRESIDENTS
WILLIAM DENTINGER
Vice President, Region C
Bill Dentinger has to be an All-American in promoting masonry. He once composed and paid for an advertisement in the Milwaukee Sentinel offering a "special on sports arenas." Unfortunately, he had no takers but his spirit remains undiminished.
This past year, Bill was named Chairman of the Year by the MCAA for his work as chairman of the MCAA Safety Committee.
Thirty-six, Bill graduated from Marquette University High School in 1957 and from the U.S. Navy four years later. He has been with Superior Masonry Builders, Inc. as secretary-treasurer since 1961.
His interest and direct involvement in industry affairs began in 1964. Locally, he has been a director of the MCA of Milwaukee three times; secretary in 1967; president in 1968; and is currently serving as secretary again.
He has served the Allied Construction Employers Association, a federation of 18 industry trade associations in Milwaukee, as a negotiator and is now chairman of the Laborers' Bargaining Committee.
Nationally, Bill has worked on several MCAA committees, most recently as chairman of the Safety Committee, and has contributed articles to Masonry magazine.
Outside of his wife, Shirley Jean, and his four youngsters, Peggy, 14; Bill, 13; Dick, 12; and Kathy, 4, Bill's great love interest is the Marquette Warrior basketball team. He bowls and plays poker, tennis and guitar.
