Basically, the book enables users to quickly evaluate costs of specific design pre-decisions."

Women In Family Business
"From the Other Side of the Bed: A Woman Looks at Life in the Family Business" by Katy Danco. $19.95. The Center for Family Business, P.O. Box 24268, Cleveland, OH 44124.
This book was written by, for, and about women in family businesses- wives, ex-wives, wives-to-be, widows, daughters, daughters-in-law, sisters, sisters-in-law, cousins, and owners.
The author-wife of Leon A. Danco, Ph.D., an authority on family business has drawn on conversations she has had with hundreds of women over the past 20 years to write a human, realistic view of this previously unexpolored "other half" of business ownership.
According to Mrs. Danco, women in family businesses are not beneficiaries of somebody else's hard work. They are involved in that hard work. "But whatever our role," she says, "we are not second-class citizens who exist just to be bought off with offerings, or placated with winter tans and fashion shows, or amused with Polynesian cooking classes at conventions.
"Let's hope we can learn to listen and understand each other. This book is a first step in reestablishing the communication that is so important among all the members of our family."
