A new dimension to work in rough terrain.
THE GENERAL FL-460 Forklift A 4WD, articulated forklift with automatic self-leveling mast.
The General FL-460, 60 hp diesel forklift with articulated, 4-wheel hydrostatic drive and automatic self-leveling mast, moves about job site terrain with sure-footed stability.
A unique self-leveling device automatically levels the front chassis up to 13° so mast and operator remain vertical when working on uneven terrain to provide excellent operator and load safety. This feature keeps the load level in transport, too, whether turning on downhill slopes, crossing curbs or ditches, virtually eliminating damage liability from spilled loads and the manhours required for cleanup.
The FL-460 hydrostatic drive system provides precise control of propulsion when inching a load into place on a scaffolding. An extra margin of safety is added by the exclusive automatic oscillation brake which locks the articulated chassis, front-to-rear, to make the FL-460 more stable than rigid forklifts when placing loads on scaffolding.
Available masts range from a 14-ft., 6,000-Ib. capacity mast to a 28-ft., 4,000-lb. capacity mast to fit your job requirements. See your General dealer today for a demonstration.
Four-way arficulation permits fight turns in congested sites and ground hugging stability in rough lemain Automatic self-leveling mast koops the load level when lifting on slopes or when tuming on a downhill grade.
