Demo Expo Debuts In Louisville
Nothing beats getting in the seat! Participants at Demo Expo '88, which debuts at the Kentucky Fair and Exposition Center in Louisville Sept. 30 through Oct. 2, will realize this as they have the opportunity to see mobile construction equipment in operation and in some instance actually operate it themselves.

Sponsored by the members of the Industrial and Construction Equipment Division of the Farm and Industrial Equipment Institute, Demo Expo will be held on a biennial basis.

"Demo Expo is ideal for the industry," said Stan Simpson, president of Job Handler, during an exhibitors' meeting July 20 at the Kentucky show site. "The customer can see the latest full selection of manufacturers' equipment in just a few hours. The information he needs to make intelligent buying decisions is all right there in one place.

Robert Spolum, president of Melroe Company, said, "Demo Expo is a unique opportunity for users of construction and industrial equipment to get a 'hands-on' view of the latest state-of-the-art equipment manufacturers have to offer. This show allows you to operate equipment and tools in an outdoor setting and talk with product representative about your specific equipment interests.

Roger Eve, president of JCB, Inc., shared Spolum's enthusiasm. "Attendees to Demo Expo will be impressed with the fact that they will have direct access to the experts," Eve said. "This show was conceived by the manufacturers and they will have the authorities on site who can answer users' questions."

Free advance registration for Demo Expo '88 closes September 9. After that date, the on-site registration cost of $10 per person is in effect. Registration and hotel information is available by calling (312) 332-2037.

There are not limits to our opportunities. Most of us only see a small portion of what is possible. We create opportunities by seeing the possibilities, and having the persistence to act upon them. We must always remember- Opportunities are always here, but we must look for them.
