Clark Joins Stone Construction Equipment
Stone Construction Equipment Inc., which specializes in the design, manufacture and marketing of construction equipment, announced the hiring of Mike Clark as upper mid-west district manager.
Clark, who is from the Minneapolis area, has more than 20 years of experience in the equipment sales and rental industry, most recently with United Rentals and Sunbelt Rentals. His responsibilities will include serving the needs of equipment dealers and rental houses in the states of Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wisconsin and Province of Manitoba, Canada.
Southwestern Pavers Acquires Regal Hardscapes
Southwestern Pavers Inc. has acquired Regal Hardscapes contracts and assets, effective Nov. 1. Through this acquisition, Southwestern Pavers has doubled in size, making the company one of Las Vegas' largest paving stone installers.
Regal Hardscapes is the local installation division of paving stone manufacturer Bradstone, a division of Aggregate Industries UK LTD. Through this acquisition and divesting from installation, Bradstone has secured the role as a key pavestone supplier, eliminating the conflict of interest with contractors and installers locally. This new direction allows for Bradstone to put more energy and resources toward research and development of new product lines, products and customer service.
'Baby Clay' Visits Colorado
The world's largest brick, as certified by the Guiness Book of World Records, was in Castle Rock, Colo., Oct. 8. "Baby Clay" was made from clay from all of Acme Brick's locations, including the Castle Rock location, and is 116 inches long, 39 inches tall, 39 inches wide, and nearly 7,000 pounds.
Manitou North America Opens Customer Service Center
Manitou North America Inc. (MNA) opened a new customer service center with a ribbon-cutting ceremony during a national dealer meeting held in Waco, Texas, in October. The center is an expansion of an existing facility and will quadruple the current storage capacity.
"MNA will be able to accommodate additional spare parts storage to better support the Manitou rough terrain material handling equipment sold through its dealer network throughout the United States," says Steve Peacock, director of after-sales support.
