The LiftPod FS80 can be assembled and disassembled in less than 30 seconds.
JLG Industries, Inc., an Oshkosh Corporation company [NYSE:OSK], will exhibit its line of LiftPod® personal portable lifts at booth # 1427 during the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International Conference & The Every Building Show®, which will be held June 26—28, 2011, at the Gaylord National® Resort & Convention Center in Washington, DC.

The JLG LiftPod provides the stability of a work platform, and does not require an OSHA-regulated two-man operation. Instead, one worker can enter the platform and begin the job at once. The LiftPod helps building owners, property managers, and facility maintenance professionals improve fall protection for workers, which is the second most frequently cited standard by OSHA.

JLG will be displaying the new LiftPod FS60 and FS80 models. Because both models consist of just three lightweight components, each weighing about 50 pounds, they can be assembled and disassembled in less than 30 seconds. With an attachable work tray that holds up to 33 pounds of tools and materials, the LiftPod has a 330-pound rated capacity. Once disassembled, the LiftPod can fit in the back of a pick-up truck, van or SUV for extra convenience when moving between work sites. The LiftPod is powered by an 18-volt cordless drill or an optional Power Pack Kit for ease of elevation.

“JLG is dedicated to continually enhancing and promoting safe workplace practices. The LiftPod directly contributes to the overall safety of any building work site” said Randy Marzicola, JLG Industries director of channel development. “Because the LiftPod is lightweight and portable, it increases productivity. This is a great opportunity to demonstrate the benefits of the LiftPod FS60 and FS80 models during this very important conference.”

Workers using the LiftPod have complete, hands-free 360-degree range of motion in an enclosed carriage and a secure platform.

The FS60’s 30-inch base makes for easy passage through doorways without having to disassemble. With a 12-foot working height and a 6-foot standing height, the FS60 has nonmarking rear caster wheels for enhanced mobility. The FS80 has a working height of 14 feet, and an 8-foot standing height.

The JLG booth will also feature a monitor that will play videos from LiftPod’s YouTube channel. The videos showcase the aerial work platform in a variety of applications, including office buildings, healthcare, schools, hospitality, industrial and commercial facilities. Attendees will also have the opportunity to register for an onsite demo through JLG’s LiftPod Demo Tour.

Building owners, property managers, facility managers, asset managers, leasing agents, brokers, developers, engineers and architects will attend the 2011 Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International Conference & The Every Building Show® in Washington, D.C. on June 26—28. BOMA International is a federation of more than 100 local associations and affiliated organizations.
