Basalite of Dixon, CA donates Sakrete Concrete Mix

Words: Margaret FosterA few months back The Sakrete Team received a donation request from Al Petrie, Outdoor Program Coordinator for Milhous Children’s Services in Nevada City, CA.

“We are a non-profit foster care facility serving 62 at-risk youth in Nevada City and Sacramento. We are in the process of designing a labyrinth to build on our Nevada City campus to use as a therapeutic intervention for our children. But we have extremely limited funds to purchase the necessary materials. We are currently seeking bagged concrete; enough to pour approximately 150 stepping stones (we estimate approximately 100 60lb bags). Any assistance the folks at Sakrete can offer in helping us secure this material would be greatly appreciated by ourselves and by the children in our care who will benefit from the walking labyrinth. Thanks for your consideration.”

Mr. Petrie reached out to us via the contact us page of the Sakrete website. After reading his request, we were happy to forward his information to Basalite Concrete Products of Dixon, CA the Sakrete producer in the area. The Basalite Concrete Products Team donated the Sakrete Concrete Mix needed to complete the labyrinth project at Milhous Children’s Services.
