The Rhythms of Stone Workshop - Chicago

Words: DJ Garrity, Beth PinargoteMasons and dry stone wallers will once again have the opportunity in October to work side by side with sculptor DJ Garrity. The sculptor is an award-winning artist, author and former Sculptor-In-Residence of The Mount Rushmore National Memorial who currently divides his time between France and the West of Ireland.

Based on his book, “The Rhythms Of Stone” the artist has lead masons and dry stone wallers on both continents, as they use simple hand tools to acquire the skills necessary to create powerful images of the human face as a unique addition and personal stamp upon their stone projects.

Chicago Botanic Garden will be offering a 20% discount on the 2014 workshop fee for all members of the Mason Contractors Association of America.

Reservations are required as this popular workshop is limited to ten participants and typically fills to capacity. For more information contact:
