CIM is auctioning off this BIG prize

Words: Steven PomerantzThe Concrete Industry Management (CIM) program — a business intensive program that awards students with a four-year Bachelor of Science degree in Concrete Industry Management — is pleased to announce that the signature item for their 10th annual auction at World of Concrete is a Mack Granite step forward axel model mounted with a McNeilus 11-cubic-yard Bridgemaster concrete transit mixer, donated by Mack Trucks, Inc. and McNeilus Co., a Division of Oshkosh Truck.

"The truck chassis donated by Mack Trucks and the concrete mixer donated by McNeilus Company is the strong foundation we need to help ensure a successful CIM Auction at the 2015 World of Concrete,” said Michael Philipps, CIM Auction Committee Chairman. “We are very appreciative that, over the past many years, these two industry leading manufacturers have collaborated on a significant donation to our auction. It speaks volumes to their commitment to the concrete industry and the importance they place on the CIM program.”

The truck is a 2015 Mack truck and specifications include:

  • Allison RDS 4500 Automatic
  • FXL20 20,000 pound front axle
  • 46,000 pound Mack S462 rear axle with Hendrickson HMX460

  • Fuel tank = 50 gallon - left hand
  • Chassis only weight = 17,737 pounds
The mixer specifications for the 2015 McNeilus Bridgemaster are:
  • 11 cubic yard M77P 46-inch Paver Bridgemaster
  • BM cobalt cylinder
  • 3/16 AR steel drum and fins
  • PMP 7.1 drum drive with Eaton 54 series Hydros
  • Eaton electronic drum control with constant speed
  • Three extension chutes
  • Upper ladder gate
  • 150 galllon aluminum water tank
  • Air disc chute lock

The 10th annual auction will be held Wed., Feb. 4 in the North Hall Room N262 of the Las Vegas Convention Center. The silent auction will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. and the live auction begins at 1 p.m. Once again this year, Internet bidding will be available on the Ritchie Bros. website, www.rbauction.com. To participate in electronic auction bidding, bidders must register a week in advance. Those participating in the auction at World of Concrete can register on-site.
