MCAA Opens Door for Joining Committees



The Mason Contractors Association of America is announcing an open invitation to all industry professionals interested in joining our diverse range of committees. This initiative is part of our ongoing commitment to fostering a collaborative environment within the masonry industry. We believe that by welcoming new voices and perspectives, we can continue to advance the $33+ billion industry and better serve our members.

Participation in these committees is voluntary, providing a valuable opportunity for personal and professional growth, networking, and contributing to the future of the masonry industry. Below is a list of the available committees along with a brief explanation of their roles and responsibilities:

MCAA Bylaws Committee: This committee is tasked with reviewing and recommending changes or additions to the existing Bylaws of the Association. It plays a crucial role in ensuring that our governing documents remain relevant and effective.

MCAA Education Committee: Overseeing all educational programs offered by the association, this committee ensures that our seminars and publications meet the needs of mason contractors. It reviews existing manuals and industry-related publications for relevance and develops seminar programs to address the evolving needs of our members.

Generation Next Committee: Focused on bringing a youthful voice into the masonry industry, this committee provides members with opportunities to learn, engage, and introduce new ideas. It aims to foster lasting relationships and educate future leaders to increase the masonry market share and ensure the industry's robustness.

MCAA Legislative Committee: This committee guides the association in the legislative arena, establishing issues for the association to address. It develops programs to engage members in the legislative and political process, both nationally and locally.

MCAA Marketing Committee: Responsible for overseeing MCAA's marketing efforts, this committee focuses on promoting the association and the masonry industry. It plays a role in developing marketing strategies and initiatives.

MCAA Membership Committee: Tasked with recruitment and retention, this committee oversees member development and promotional efforts. It ensures member satisfaction and addresses future needs to maintain a thriving membership base.

MCAA Safety Committee: This committee develops safety programs for mason contractors and keeps the industry informed on key safety issues, ensuring a safe working environment for all.

MCAA Technical Committee: Guiding MCAA's involvement in codes, standards, and technical developments, this committee represents the association on various industry committees such as ASTM, TMS and MACS.

MCAA Union Committee: Focusing on the needs of union mason contractors, this committee addresses specific challenges and opportunities within the unionized sector of the industry.

MCAA Workforce Development Committee: Overseeing mason recruiting and training programs, this committee is responsible for marketing Masonry Career Days and other career awareness efforts. It develops training publications and videos and mobilizes contractor and industry involvement in recruiting and training efforts.
