out Shelter

enough space to take care of a family for two weeks during an emergency. Therefore it should be equipped with blankets and bedding, water, pre-cooked foods and plenty of fruit juice. Many people are under the impression that a fallout shelter is some ant-like dugout that must lie idle until such time as an attack occurs. Shelters, for instance, can be fixed up to double as a game room, den, darkroom or even a guest room.

For further information and plans on how to build a family fallout shelter, write to the Office of Civil and Defense Mobilization, Battle Creek, Michigan.
