Philip Will, Jr., this month's Lead has been awarded the Order Cruzeiros Sul by the Brazilian government. Peter Sacchetti of the Anthony Izzo Co., Inc. and Robert Hall of the William F. Nelson Co. were honored by the Washington, D. C. Building Congress for craftsmanship and the call of duty. Winners are craftsmen who put that something extra in their work which has enriched Washington building projects. Mr. & Mrs. R. W. Larsen, Park Ridge, Ill., have returned from their month long tour of the Scandinavian peninsula.

Les Dietrich of St. Louis, MCAA President-Midwest, is recovering from a recent appendectomy. Get well fast Les for the annual golf tournament at the Greenbrier won't be the same without you. Phinas Hoggatt, retired Houston Chapter member, now has a ranch in northwestern Arkansas. He says he has a new up-to-date located in his "hay barn"-just steps from a nice soft place to rest. Henry Toennies has been appointed Director of Engineering for the National Concrete Masonry Association. Mr. Toennies succeeds R. E. Copeland who will retire on Jan. 1.

James & Simpson, Flint, Mich., have a new mailing address. It is now Box 284, Flint. Don A. McAllister has been appointed industrial tractor equipment sales representative of International Harvester Company's Equipment Div. New members of NADD are Holeman Brick Co., Des Plaines, Ill. and A. B. Adams & Co., Moundaville, W. Va. NCMA's Pictorial features screen block in an attractive 16-page, two color brochure that is excellently prepared. Ask for it. Aztec Equip. Co., Phoenix, Ariz., has been appointed a distributor for Kwik-Miz Co.

Paul H. Rosensteel, former Business Representative of Local #3 Arizona, has been appointed Executive Director of Arizona Masonry Guild by president Lee Churchill. Mr. Rosensteel succeeds Ralph Yoder, who resigned to continue his education. The National Bricklaying Apprenticeship Contest will be held in Portland, Oregon during April of 1962. The CPI Annual Convention will be at the Shoreham Hotel, Washington, D. C., Nov. 6-8. Allied Construction Industries of Cincinnati, will hold their 16th Annual Outing (Continued on page 15)
