A plan under which some 7,000 members of seven locals of Bricklayers in Metropolitan New York and their dependents will have their doctors' prescription filled at a cost of 50 cents each has gone into effect. The program is sponsored by the Bricklayers Insurance & Welfare Fund which will pay the remainder of the cost, regardless of the amount, from a special $250,000 appropriation. Announcement of the program was made by Secretary-Treasurer Andrew J. Lawler of the Bricklayers' New York Executive Committee, Joseph Holme, President of the Associated Brick Mason Contractors of Greater New York, and Albe Cerussi, chairman of the fund.
