Clipper Plant Under Construction

Grandview, Missouri, a suburb of Kansas City, will be the location of the new factory and general offices of Clipper Manufacturing Company, worldwide manufacturer of masonry and concrete saws and diamond core drills. Steel work is now complete and exterior masonry well under way at the new building, scheduled for completion in March, 1963. At that time the firm will move from its present facilities at 2800 Warwick, Kansas City.

Clipper equipment will be used in the creation of unusual masonry effects in the facade of the building, which will feature the companys trademarks depicted in masonry materials of various colors. Here Weldon B. Royse (left), whose low bid netted him the masonry contract on the $2,000,000 project, discusses the brickwork with J. M. Senter, general contractor (center) and Neligh Coates (right), Clipper President.
