People & Events

Thanks to MCAA's Houston Chapter for the wonderful convention. Our thanks too to the weatherman who provided five full days of clear skies and warm Texas sun. And now to the snow, the sleet and snow falling.

One of the most humorous incidents of the convention was the "stolen car" taken by Mrs. Clarence Bundy, Waukesha. Calling at the Shamrock Garage for her car, they gave her the wrong one. Next time you see her ask her about the Houston police. Shep Fields provided wonderful, danceable music at the Tuesday evening banquet. Shep has some enjoyable records, and they're tops. Talking of records, Justin Wilson's Monday morning session before the convention was recorded, and he plans to put it into an album. If it's half as good as the real thing it'll be a real hit.

Thanks too, to Anchor Mfg. Co., Chicago, for their continued support of the Ladies' Program. The ladies express their thanks for the beautiful corsages and enjoyable coffee hours. Arizona is celebrating their 50th year of Statehood and in honor of this event "This is Arizona" has published a beautiful 570 page edition. Thanks to Paul Rosensteel, Arizona Masonry Guild, for the "half a hundred."
