Singer Regional Center
(Continued from preceding page)
The entrance-way wall of the new Singer plant with its fascinating brick pattern work. The photograph shows a general view of that portion of the building. The photo and drawings give some of the pertinent details of the wall. The masonry units in the structure were 4 x 4 x 16 while those in the screen wall were 4 x 4 x 12. The units were manufactured by the Bedford Hills Concrete Products Co. The metal bands around the top and base of the walls, as well as those used for the vertical strips, are of amodized, gold-tinted aluminum. The vertical strips divide the building into a series of panels approximately 40 feet in length.
