In addition to his regular duties, Mr. Kuhfeld has in the last ten years taught Blueprint Reading at night to journeyman bricklayers and electricians. He has authored several instruction books. His latest achievement was having one of his apprentices, John DiGiandomenico, indentured to Wm. Passalaqua Builders, Inc., crowned the National Bricklayer Apprentice Champion earlier this year.
Mr. Kuhfeld is married and the father of two children.
Natco Improves Earnings
PITTSBURGH, Oct. 24-Natco Corporation today announced improvements in net earnings for the quarter ended September 30 and for the first nine months of 1962 over comparable periods last year.
Total net sales and other income of $11,791,913 for the nine months ended September 30, 1962, were reported, as compared with $12,109,094 during the same period last year. Net earnings for the nine months increased from $150,141 or 21 cents per share last year to $197,282 or 27.6 cents per share this year, after deduction of a special non-recurring charge. Net earnings prior to the special non-recurring charge totaled $212,476 or 29.7 cents per share.

Lucas Speaks At
Memphis Meeting
Joe Lucas of AA Wire P Co., Chicago, was the featured speaker at the monthly meeting of the Mason Contractors Association of Memphis, Tenn.
Cavity wall construction and application as a curtain wall united the topics of Mr. Lucas talk. He also reported on recent tests done on cavity walls and new products.
The Town Tower Restaurant was the scene for the dinner-meeting attended by more than 40 MCAA members and their guests.
