Congratulations to our Pittsburgh Chapter for the tremendous support that they gave the '63 meeting. To Chapter President Gerard Ryan, Co-chairman Michael Coco, and each and every member, our sincere thanks for the warm hospitality and outstanding convention.

Traveling the longest distance to the meeting were the Pacific Northwest contingent: Mr. and Mrs. Earl Blackstock, Seattle, Wash.; Mr. and Mrs. E. Lyle Parsley, and Montie Smallen, Portland, Oregon. It was also good to see Paul Japp, Executive Vice President, Phillip Carey Co. Mr. Japp has long been a close friend of the MCAA and will long be remembered as a genial host and enjoyable toastmaster.

Our thanks to Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Perri, Brooklyn, N.Y., for having with us in Pittsburgh their wonderful Grandchildren. Both of the girls, and their parents were a pleasant contribution to our '63 Meeting. Legal Counsel Peer Pedersen made it the hard way. On the way to the airport, in Chicago, Peer had a blow out and ended up in the ditch, however, he made it and presented a real fine address. Past Presidents Bill Nelson, Fred Daues, Harold Peterson and Stephen Raimo all pitched in and assisted in various events of the meeting.

Everyone greatly missed Mr. and Mrs. T. Walter Kirk of St. Louis. Mr. Kirk became seriously ill during January. We all join in wishing him a speedy recovery. Also unable to attend were Mr. and Mrs. Sutherland, Corpus Christi, Texas. Mr. Sutherland became ill just prior to his departure and doctors advised him not to attend. One who has seldom missed MCAA meetings, Fred Steinhoff, wired from Norman, Oklahoma, that an emergency made it impossible for him to attend.

Swensen writes from San Francisco saying that he's enjoying lots of fishing. He sends his regards to his many MCAA friends.

Newly elected Directors of the Milwaukee Chapter are Tom Koem and Harry Smet. Recently elected President of the Omaha Chapter is Robert Lindwall. Hats off to Ed Rohatsch, Secretary, MCA of Milwaukee for his excellent public relations work for the Chapter. Latest slogan of the Southern Building is developed around the "Imaginative Material." That's right, it's Masonry. C. O. Henriksen Co. is doing a wonderful promotion job with their publication "Trowel Topics". M.
