The Ladies Tournament this year created much more interest for nine ladies participated. Winner with low gross score was Claire Nelson with runner up being Peg DiSabatino. Others who played were: Evelyn Strauss, Louise Arconti, Terry Germinaro, Boots Bundy, Dorothy Tubesing, Florence Ebeling and Billie Bidwell.

During the Hi-Bond Mortar School the teams of participants were very evenly matched. So even it ended in a seven way tie. Frank Laureys, Bob Harrison, Roger Benidict, Bill Smith and Harold Peterson did yeoman work in making sure the job was right along with Don Bidwell who picked up the loose ends and made the wall have that professional look. Bob Tubesing, Joseph Szabo and the entire Research Committee did a fine job in conducting the Hi-Bond course. Our thanks also to Mal Allen and Corb Garton, SCPRF, and A. A. "Bert" Hill of Dow Chemical Co.

The ladies on Thursday journeyed over to Honey Bear Farm where they enjoyed the picturesque surroundings and the children had fun on the horse drawn wagon. Just one of the many unusual attractions at Lake Geneva.

All the members were pleased to see that both William Nelson and T. Walker Kirk have recovered from their recent illnesses. Due to pre MCAA business in Washington delayed his arrival at the Abbey day so that it could be completed. Mr. Kirk, in the Annual Tournament, played his usual excellent style.

During the Saturday Banquet the children enjoyed their own party. With the assistance of the Abbey a "kids" affair was set up in the Hall Room. Balloons, yoo-yo's, streamers, noise makers and the like were the treat for the young folks.

A sincere thanks to Wisconsin. President Clarence Bundy and all Wisconsin members and their wives for a most wonderful meeting. The weather is outstanding, the hotel is delightful but your warm hospitality out does them all. Thank you.

Karl Baumler, Vice President of Manufacturing, Pittsburgh Corning Corp. has announced that Carlton Kelley has been appointed Assistant to the Vice President of Manufacturing, effective August 1. O. Weber has been appointed District Manager for Pittsburgh Corning's Philadelphia office. Stockholders of Schield Bantam Co., Waverly, have approved the acquisition of their firm by Koehring Co., Milwaukee.

Flying in from Kitchner, Ontario, Canada, to attend the MCAA Hi-Bond Mortar School was E. George. Mr. George flew his own Cessna to the Big Foot airport. At the Executive Board Meeting Igor Pichler presented to President Lonie a gavel that was used at a meeting of the Milwaukee Chapter on this date 64 years ago, in 1889. Pichler then briefly reviewed some of the minutes of the meeting and commented on the history of the Milwaukee Chapter.
