HOME SHOW EXHIBIT

What's happening in Milwaukee? Why, it's the Concrete Masonry Industries Exhibit at the 63 Home Show. This year for the first time, the Mason Contractors Association, Bricklayers and Masons Local No. 8, the American Institute of Architects and the Wisconsin Concrete Products Association have joined together to produce an effective Masonry display for this popular Milwaukee event. Feature of the entire exhibit was the apprentice competition which took place each afternoon and evening. Savings Bonds were awarded to the final winners.

The exhibit, designed by local A.I.A. members, attractively presented the various units, patterns and textures. Highlighted by an unusual designs, Shadowal, Rocket Block and many other units sparkled in their various settings.

From the MCA of Milwa Clarence Bundy, Jr.; Peter Gearo; and Don Stevens served on the Committee while the Brick Local were under the direction of Arthur Frey, Business Representative, and Kenneth Olen, Instructor of Mason Apprentices.

The Block producers under the activating force of Felix Weirman did an outstanding job. All the materials for the displays were donated by various material dealers and manufacturers.

Each afternoon and evening apprentices demonstrated to the crowds the various skills and techniques of bricklaying.
