INSTRUCTORS GUIDE
The Portland Cement Association and National Ready Mixed Concrete Association have jointly issued a new 264-page "Concrete Technology Instructor's Guide."
The guide outlines a complete course in concrete mix design, placing, finishing, and curing. It will be distributed to teachers of courses in vocational education, industrial arts, and apprenticeship training.
Each of 21 teaching units in the book presents a detailed lecture outline. The outline suggests teaching techniques, teaching aids, demonstration projects, and discussion topics. Sample test questions are provided, along with four or five pages of related background material on each teaching unit. By using the guide, teachers will have all information needed in preparing courses.
PCA will also issue a 30-slide illustrated lecture designed to encourage young men to enter the concrete industries. The Delmar Publishing Co., Albany, N. Y., will issue a student textbook covering materials in the instructor's course outline.
