Texas Chapters Meet August 19-21 Tennessee To Hold

"Unity In The Promotion of the Masonry Industry" will be the theme of the Annual Meeting of the Associated Masonry Contractors of Texas when they meet at McAllen, Texas, August 19-21, 1965.

State Chairman and President of the State Association is Robert Fenimore, Ft. Worth, Texas. The meeting will be held at the Fairway Motor Hotel in McAllen.

Additional information can be secured by either contacting a local MCAA Chapter or by writing to Jerry Jarboe, AMC of Texas, 1114 Courtland, Houston 8, Texas.

In conjunction with the meeting a short trip to Mexico is planned.


Annual Convention

The annual State Convention of the Tennessee Chapters of the Mason Contractors Association of America will be held in Memphis, Tenn., August 26-28, 1965, according to an announcement made by State Chairman Donald Cook. The Cheista Hotel in Memphis will be the headquarters. Herman Sowell has been appointed Convention Chairman.

Theme of the meeting will be "Load Bearing Masonry Walls". A presentation by Jack Carney, SCPI Regional Director, will highlight this section of the program.

Consolidation Announced

The consolidation of the Indiana Limestone Institute and the National Association For Indiana Limestone, Inc. was announced recently. The thirty-five large and progressive firms who now make up this new group, Indiana Limestone Institute for America, Inc., have opened offices at 431 South College Avenue, Bloomington, Indiana. Executive Director is D. R. Bliss.


AVA Recommends

The American Vocational Association has recommended that state and local film libraries purchase copies of the film "Clay & Craftsmanship". This film was produced last year by the Allied Masonry Council to commemorate the Centennial of the B.M.& P.I.U. Members of AMC are: MCAA B.M.&P.I.U. and SCPI.


Hold Golf Outing

The Colorado Mason Contractors Association held their Annual Golf Outing on Friday, July 16th, at Rolling Hills Country Club, Golden, Colo Sandy Sandoval was in charge of the arrangements.
