MCAA Material Handling Jamboree

Anyone who says Mason Contractors are not a hardy group just doesn't know them. On Tuesday morning, with the temperature outside 12 degrees above, MCAA held its 5th Material Handling Jamboree. Moderator for the program was Frank Laureys with Richard DeWalle, Jamboree Chairman. They were assisted by Robert Sloss, Roy Elam, Mickey Soloff and Mason Painter.

This demonstration visually showed the contractors the various characteristics of the equipment and provided them with an opportunity to see 95% of all masonry material handling devices in operation at one location.

The program was divided into three sections scaffolding, mortar pumping and handling devices.

For scaffolding Automatic Devices, Morgen Manufacturing Co. and Waco Manufacturing Co. participated.

The pumping of mortar was handled by Essick Manufacturing Co. and Thomsen Equipment Co.
