Start New Safety Analysis Program
The start of a new fire safety analysis program has been announced by Mr. John A. Stelle, President of the Facing Tile Institute. Titled "Alert-A Fire Safety Analysis," the Program will feature an up-to-the-minute report whenever a major fire occurs in an institutional building anywhere in the United States.

Commenting on the "Alert" Program, Mr. Stelle said: "The main purpose of the program is to promote awareness among architects, builders and administrators of the need for truly fireproof construction in institutional buildings of all kinds, including schools, hospitals, nursing homes and exhibition halls. We feel this program is particularly timely, in view of the recent trend in court decisions in which architects, as well as builders and building owners, are being held responsible in fire damage suits for having specified materials not safe enough for public buildings. Whenever a major institutional fire occurs in this country an investigator from the Facing Tile Institute will go to the scene, study the situation and report back the facts and conclusions about the fire."

The spectacular $32,000,000 fire which recently destroyed Chicago's McCormick Place is the subject of a forthcoming report in the Facing Tile Institute's new fire safety program called "ALERT-A FIRE SAFETY ANALYSIS."
