SOUTHERN AREA WINNER
LDS Branch Chapel at the American Fork Training School
Jackson, Sharp & Pinegar
Jerry Brailsford

Located at American Fork, Utah, this award winning LDS Branch Chapel was designed by Jackson, Sharp and Pinegar. They have used a massive rough design, but have eliminated the possibility of monotony by the use of high appealing masonry walls. The long, rough lines and angles have been effective offset by patterned masonry work executed by the bricklayers from the masonry contracting firm of Jerry Brailsford of Provo.

These awards were presented at Utah's 8th Annual Masonry Convention held recently in Salt Lake City. Speakers at the convention were Thomas F. Murphy, President, B.M.P.I.U. of A., Washington, D. C. George A. Miller, Executive Vice President MCAA, Chicago, III., and Paul Rosensteel, MCAA Field Representative and Executive Director of the Arizona Masonry Guild, Inc.
