BANKING ON MASONRY
Project: Tigard Branch of the First National Bank of Oregon
Architect: Schmeer, Harrington & Bana, AIA
Mason & General Contractor: A. V. Peterson Co.
The First National Bank of Oregon has opened its new Tigard Branch which offers 7,485 square feet of space, including 1,558 square feet on the mezzanine. The Branch has complete banking services and facilities including ten teller windows, a drive-in teller station, safe deposit vault, night depository and conference room. Off-street parking is provided for 34 cars. Schmeer, Harrington & Bana, AIA, have created in this design an atmosphere of warmth and friendliness, yet retained a sense of security required in the banking field.
The RBM design, using brick both on the exterior and interior, provided the owner with a sound and low maintenance free $300,000 banking facility. The Charcoal brick are laid in stack bond and are highlighted by the white accent trim.
