Equipment Group. Medusa Portland Cement Co. has announced the promotion of Peter H. Geis to the position of director of industrial relations.

The Oregon Masonry Guild heard Walter Dickey discuss the "Changes to the 1970 Uniform Building Code" at their Sept. 9th meeting.

The Mason Contractors Association of Greater Chicago held their Annual Golf Outing on Friday, July 17th, at the Nordic Hills Country Club, Itasca, III. Harold E. Moore has been named manager of the North Texas Contractors Association. The Concrete Masonry Association of Illinois held their annual meeting at the Ramada Lincoln Lodge, Dixon, III., on July 12 & 13.

The Indiana Concrete Masonry Association will hold their Fall Meeting on October 7-8 at the Morris-Bryant Inn, Lafayette, Indiana...The Minneapolis Chapter heard Vern Johnson, Honeywell, Inc., discuss the Apollo "Moon" projects. Congratulations to the Colorado Mason Contractors Association and Region 12, SCPI, on their September issue of True & Plumb. It features The Park Lane complex in Denver which was built by Dan Berich.


Essick Names Hilberg

R. W. (Bill) Hilberg has been appointed southeast regional manager for Essick Manufacturing, according to W. K. Raymond, executive vice president. Hilberg, a longtime veteran of the construction equipment business, will supervise Essick sales in Florida, Georgia, North and South Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee, Alabama and Mississippi.

Previous to his new post, he was active in sales and supervisory positions with Formica, Remington Corporation and Thor Tool Company. A graduate of the University of Miami, Hilberg makes his home in Tampa.
