Econmobile Loaders

Fred J. Broad, vice president of marketing, Insley Manufacturing Corp. (subsidiary of DESA Industries, Inc.), has announced that Insley has been assigned all marketing responsibility for Econmobile high-lift loaders.

All engineering, manufacturing and service functions connected with Econmobile equipment have been located at Insley's Indianapolis facilities since the line was acquired by DESA from American Road Equipment Co. late in 1970. Under DESA's new product realignment plan, Insley now assumes the additional responsibility for marketing the Econmobile line.

Distribution will continue to be handled through the current group of Econmobile distributors.

General Portland Lab

Now Open in Dallas

General Portland Cement Company's cement research and development laboratory has been relocated from Houston to Dallas, where it continues under the direction of J. Paul Luker, manager of research and development.

Equipment at the facility includes an X-ray laboratory, an infra-red analysis system and an automic absorption analysis unit, as well as high-pressure thickening time testers, grinding mills, pilot kilns and other cement-related gear.

Established in 1951, the cement research laboratory has been instrumental in the development of several of the company's leading specialty products. Prominent among them are Trinity White High Early Strength portland cement, Trinity White masonry cement, Trinity Special oil well cement, and Trinity Warmtone, the new tan- colored architectural cement.
