BIA Brick
Panel Seminar
By KENNETH S. DASH
Director of Marketing Promotion
Brick Institute of America

Brick is Man's oldest building material and today it is more popular than ever before. Many of the country's leading architectural and engineering firms are seeking and finding new ways to use brick. And now the Brick Institute of America (BIA), the national authority on brick construction, is presenting a seminar for architects and engineers on Designing With Brick Panels. The prefabricated brick panel is a new, economical and time-saving way to use brick.

The purpose of the seminar is to alert architects and engineers of recent advances in the technology of the brick industry which make prefabricated brick panels a viable solution in many design situations. BIA has assembled leading architects and engineers who have been actively involved with either the design, construction or installation of brick panels on contemporary buildings.

The seminar is being given on three different dates in three different cities: Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, on November 15; Chicago, Illinois, on November 28; and Atlanta, Georgia on December 13, in cooperation with the Georgia Institute of Technology. Each seminar with the exception of Atlanta, will include a tour of a brick panelization plant. The Atlanta seminar will have an audio-visual presentation showing a brick panel plant tour.
