The group disembarked here for a short tour of the island and a brief stay on firm ground. At five p.m. the ship again set out from the protection of the break-waters and headed for open sea and Piraeus. The journey back to the port was uneventful with most passengers getting a needed good night's sleep. Arrival in port brought out the sun. A quick passage to the airport and then on board the TWA jet for the return home.

Nope, its not all over-after a smooth 10½ hour flight that went over Yugoslavia, Austria, Germany, England, Ireland and the North Atlantic the jet neared JFK only to find that weather was delaying landings. Then the Captain announced that fuel was now down to the minimum and that a landing in Newark was necessary. Back into the sky and into Kennedy brought the group back home after a record breaking 13 hours aboard the jet.
