Michigan MCA Elects 1978-79 Officers
At the conclusion of their annual meeting at Sugar Loaf Mountain Resort, Cedar, Mich., September 16, 1978, members of the Michigan Mason Contractors Association elected officers for the 1978-79 term. Elected were (from the left): secretary-treasurer, James C. Wyatt, executive director, Detroit Mason Contractors Association; vice chairman, Al Hazewinkel of Hazewinkel Brothers, Inc., Grand Rapids, and chairman, Francis Costella of Monte Costella & Co., Southfield.
Housing Units Increase, Building Contracts Up
The F.W. Dodge Division of McGraw-Hill Information Systems Co., New York, N.Y., reports that construction of new housing units in the second quarter of 1978 showed a 15% gain compared to a year ago, and that July contracts for future construction of all kinds reached $14.7 billion, 36% ahead of July, 1977.
