About Our Cover

Davis, Brody & Associates designed this new campus for the New York State University System at Amherst. This noteworthy project, among others, won for Davis, Brody the 1977 Louis Sullivan Award for Architecture sponsored biennially by the International Union of Bricklayers & Allied Craftsmen in Washington, D.C. The complex utilizes an over-size brick in walls, brick pavers on plazas, and an abundance of special brick shapes both inside and out.

As the official publication of the Mason Contractors Association of America and the Canadian Masonry Contractors Association, Masonry publishes authoritative articles and timely news concerning activities of the MCAA and CMCA. Statements and opinions expressed in editorials or articles by the editors and contributors do not necessarily represent the official position of the MCAA or the CMCA, and the publication of advertising does not imply endorsement of products advertised or statements made concerning them.
