'79 MCAA CONFERENCE REPORT
continued from page 13

the 40s, the parking area adjacent to the Marriott was filled with hardy souls who braved the chilly wind to witness the MCAA Masonry Industry Showcase on Tuesday morning. Eight firms ran their material handling equipment through the paces in a live outdoor demonstration, while a company representative described the equipment's fine points over a loudspeaker system. Although the weather conditions were less than ideal, the spectators agreed that the show was well worth their brief personal discomfort.

Six of the firms that participated in the Showcase were forklift manufacturers Koehring Company, Loed Corp., Lull Engineering Co., Pettibone Corp., Prime-Mover Co., and TCI Power Products. Mayco Pump Corp. showed its multi-story grout/concrete pump, and Morgen Manufacturing Co. displayed its tower-type scaffolding.

MCAA Annual Meeting Well Attended

The last session of the Conference for the general membership of MCAA was the Annual Meeting held Tuesday afternoon, with President Eugene George presiding.

The Members heard the reports of Association officers and committee chairmen, considered old and new business, and elected officers.

Elected treasurer of MCAA was Robert C. Tubesing, president of Tubesing Construction Co., New Berlin, Wis. He succeeds Robert Harrison of Mount Prospect, III., who had held that post for many years.

Officers reelected were Eugene George, president; Louis J. Helbert, Jr., vice president, and Don Leonard, secretary.

Seven exhibit spaces were utilized at the Trade Show by Robert G. Evans Co. of Kansas City, Mo. to display its wide range of "Target" masonry saws and abrasive products. As in past years, the Target exhibit drew many interested mason contractors.

Another scene from the MCAA Annual Meeting shows the keen interest displayed in a speaker's remarks. Seated in the front row (from left) are David B. "Mickey" Soloff, Jr., chairman of the Masonry Industry Committee and the MCAA Nominating and Constitution & Bylaws Committees: MCAA regional vice presidents Anthony J.
