The American Concrete Institute, Detroit, Mich., has announced the appointment of Gary M. Hussar as a staff engineer. Hussar formerly was project administrator on the Erie Nuclear Project... Ronald L.. Samuels has been named vice. president/marketing of the Brick Institute of America Paul F. McPherson has been elevated to president of McGraw-Hill Information. Systems Co., New York, N.Y.
Kaufman Agency Honored
Henry J. Kaufman & Associates, the Washington (D.C.) communications firm that serves as the International. Masonry Institute's public relations counsel and advertising agency, has won the first "Advertising Leadership" award from the American Institute of Architects Journal in recognition of "consistently outstanding readership performance" of advertisements in the Journal.
Clients for the award-winning advertisements were IMI and the Brick Institute of America. Four of the full-color IMI ads were cited, all of which have recently appeared in Masonry.
