Medical Arts Building
In Allentown Is Brick
# -Inside and Outside
Brick is featured extensively in the design of one of Allentown, Pa.'s newest and most aesthetically pleasing medical facilities, the Trexler Park Medical Arts Building. An outstanding design attraction in the two-story structure is the interior, where brick has been utilized throughout, most notably in the planters and stairwells. The total effect is one of warmth and pleasant surroundings. The project was designed by Urban Design, with Robert Schilling. Jr., Inc., the mason contractor.
Acme Honors Reed
Acme Brick Co., the nation's largest brick manufacturer, has selected Robert C. Reed, manager of the firm's Bridgeport, Tex., plant, as Plant Manager of the Year for 1979. Pictured at the award presentation and dinner in the Fort Worth Club in February are (from left) Edward L. Stout, Jr., Acme president; Reed, and John Koch, general production manager of Acme. Acme Brick Co., established in 1891, has 16 manufacturing plants in a five-state area including Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and Kansas.
