Business Rises for Machinery Manufacturers
A national survey of U.S. construction equipment producers by the Construction Industry Manufacturers Association shows that American firms sold more than $16.5 billion worth of construction and surface mining machinery worldwide in 1979, while employing over 186,000 persons throughout the world. According to CIMA's 1979 "Industry Survey of Economic Contributions." U.S. construction equipment manufacturers sold almost $1.2 billion more in 1979 than they did the previous year, and $7.4 billion more than in 1976.

The U.S. Small Business Administration has released a 30-page booklet on Protecting the Small Business Cash Flow Lifeline. The information is based on a survey of management practices used by the private sector during periods of recession and limited credit.
