About Our Cover
"Prideful workmanship" are the words the architect used to describe the masonry craftsmen's attention to detail that went into the Douglas Plaza Apartments, Elm Grove, Wis., one of the winners of 1981 Excellence Awards for Masonry Design presented by the Masonry Institute of Wisconsin. The project's architect was Paul F. Schmitter Architects, Inc. of Elm Grove. Turn to page 6 for more details. (Special thanks to the Masonry Institute of Wisconsin for furnishing the story photos and the 4-color separations for this month's cover.)
