Engineering Design Module III, which is 220 pages including numerous charts, graphs and illustrations, was written and designed in cooperation with Dr. James Colville, assistant dean of engineering at the University of Maryland. "We hope it will revolutionize methods of teaching masonry in engineering schools," Lackey said. The module will be introduced through a series of educator seminars in various regions of the U.S. and Canada this spring.

Following the conclusion of the Second Session and a lunch break, MCAA members re-convened for the Annual Meeting and the bi-annual election of officers. The meeting was adjourned by President Leonard after he announced that the 1985 MCAA International Masonry Conference & Trade Show will be held March 7-12 at the Las Vegas Hilton in Las Vegas, Nev.

The MCAA Executive Board Organizational Meeting was held immediately following the Annual Meeting.

That evening, at 6:30 p.m., the MCAA Reception took place in the Ballroom Foyer of the Hyatt Regency, immediately preceding MCAA's 34th Annual Banquet and Dance.

MCAA, its officers and members gratefully acknowledge the thoughtful and generous gesture of the Brick Institute of America which sponsored the reception.

The Annual Banquet was highlighted by the formal installation of the new officers and presentation of awards, with MCAA executive vice president George Miller acting as master of ceremonies.

The "Lead Man Award," MCAA's highest honor, was bestowed upon immediate past president Don Leonard. Paul Clements of Louisville, Ky., former MCAA regional vice president and a founder and immediate past chairman of the Kentuckiana Masonry Institute, received the Institute's "Declaration of Excellence" award for his 14 years of service to that organization.

The banquet officially closed the formal activities associated with MCAA's 34th International Masonry Conference and Educational Trade Show.
