Masonry Estimating For a Profit

This course is part of the continuing series developed by the MCAA Management Institute. The lecturer for this session is Jerry G. Pope, well-known construction consultant. The discussion during the course will revolve around his manual, "Masonry Estimating For A Profit," now in its second edition. The course is divided into six parts which take you from the beginning of estimating procedures on through the surveys, bidding strategy, manpower allocations and the final reports and cost summaries. This is an ideal refresher course for those who have been in the industry, and the manual provides an excellent reference not only for the course but for future use.

A newly developed seminar designed for people who wish to expand their knowledge in this highly technical field. It will briefly cover the physical properties of materials, designs of anchors, testing, and installation procedures. The seminar will be under the direction of Gregg Borchelt and Buck Richardson, both professional engineers who have devoted a considerable amount of time and effort to the development of this particular seminar. This is not for the novice and attendance will be limited.
