IMI Apprenticeship and Training Introduces

EUGENE GEORGE
Vice President, Region J

"Gene George has an enormous capacity for hard work," relates one of his business associates. "He puts in 100 hours a week, but gets more done in 10 minutes than most people do in an hour. His key ingredient is perception; he has the uncanny ability to instantly grasp the heart of a situation. He makes it a point to keep abreast of new concepts, materials, techniques and equipment. His memory is fantastic, bordering on total recall. His work is his hobby, which may well explain his success."

With such business acumen, it is no wonder that Gene George directs one of the largest and most successful mason contracting operations in North America. His firm, George and Asmussen Limited, founded in 1951, is based in the small community of Breslau, Ontario, near Kitchener, home of Canada's renowned Oktoberfest. Company branches extend to Ottawa, Montreal and Calgary in Canada, and to Albany and Louisville in the United States. And requests to do work come in from throughout the free world.

The extent of Gene George's involvement and accomplishments in the U.S. and Canadian masonry industry is remarkable. With MCAA, he has held the posts of regional vice president.
