Person & Wik, a partnership that was later incorporated. In 1962 he bought out Wik and changed the firm's name to Person-Western. His firm today is one of the major mason contracting enterprises in northern California. Some of Person-Western's recent projects include a 10-story Sheraton Hotel in Burlingame as well as multi-story buildings in San Leandro, Oakland and San Francisco. The firm is currently refacing the 28-story Pacific Telephone Building in San Francisco.

During World War II, Mr. Person served in the Construction Department of the U.S. Maritime Commission. In 1958, in conjunction with the Department of Architecture of the State of California, he developed the High Lift Grouted System which is used extensively in brick and block construction in California.

Mr. Person is survived by his wife, Eva; a daughter, Carolyn Woodhall; four granddaughters; a sister, Bertha Nielson of Burlingame, and a brother and sister in Sweden.

Wessel manager of its Technical & Code Services Congressman John H. Erlenborn (R-III.), who was the keynote speaker at MCAA's '84 Conference in New Orleans, announced he will become a partner in the law firm of Seyfarth, Shaw, Fairweather & Geraldson when he retires from Congress at the end of this year.
