St. Louis AIA Presents Craftsmanship Award

USG Promotes Executives
USG Corp., Chicago, III., has announced the election of a new vice chairman and three executive vice presidents. The promotions include: Harry M. Stover, to vice chairman: Eugene Miller, to executive vice president and chief financial officer: Ralph C. Joynes, to executive vice president, who will also serve as chairman and chief executive officer of United States Gypsum Co., a wholly owned subsidiary, and William J. White, to executive vice president. White will serve as president and chief executive officer of another USG subsidiary, USG Industries, Inc.

These management changes follow the announcement that USG directors intend to elect Robert J. Day, currently president and CEO, to the post of chairman and CEO to be effective June 1, 1985.

National Preservation Group Honors RESTORE
The National Trust for Historic Preservation has presented an Honor Award to RESTORE of New York, N.Y., the first national program created for the purpose of educating masonry craftsmen in state-of-the-art architectural restoration and preservation technology.

Founded in 1976, RESTORE offers a nine-month course in New York City and a series of workshops throughout the U.S. designed to upgrade the knowledge of building crafts among contractors, architects and engineers.

Directory of U.S. Mason Contractors Published
The new edition of the Masonry Contractors Directory is available for purchase from American Business Directories, Inc.

The directory is compiled from the telephone Yellow Pages of more than 4,800 current phone books covering every city and town in the nation. The listings include business names, addresses and telphone numbers organized alphabetically by state and city.

The Associated Equipment Distributors has published the 36th edition of its Nationally Averaged Rental Rates for Construction Equipment.
