JCB Unveils Multi-use
Construction Machine
JCB Inc., White Marsh, Md., has introduced to the North American market its new Model 525B-4HL Loadall, a highly versatile machine that functions as a forklift, a reach truck or a four-wheel-drive loader. The unit delivers over 14 ft. of forward reach to pick up, place and position loads over, under and through obstructions. Its telescopic boom is equipped with a quick-fit carriage which makes changing attachments possible in just seconds, the manufacturer states.
Nat'l Gypsum's Annual
Earnings Increase 98%
With continued strong demand for building products, National Gypsum Co.'s net earnings for the fourth quarter of 1984 rose 36% to a record high of $25.2 million. Sales increased 39% to a record $429 million. For all of 1984, the Dallas-based firm's net earnings increased 98% to $106.8 million. John P. Hayes, chairman and CEO, attributed the company's record profits to the "improved economy and its consequent effects."
